Windows Update error code “0×643″ – when install an update for .NET Framework 1.0, .NET Framework 1.1, .NET Framework 2.0, .NET Framework 3.0, or .NET Framework 3.5
When you try to install an update for .NET Framework 1.0, .NET Framework 1.1, .NET Framework 2.0, .NET Framework 3.0, or .NET Framework 3.5, you may receive an error messages like 0×643 or error code for Microsoft Windows Installer – 1603
When appear this error mean that the update cannot be finished and the causes are:
- corruption in .NET framework installation
- an inconsistency on the MSI database state
The solution for a successfully update the .NET framework is to reinstall it.
Remove and reinstall the .NET Framework
Step1: Go to -> Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs
Step 2: Remove all the versions from .NET Framework
Step 3: Restart the computer
Step 4: Use the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility program to clean up the MSI database.
Step 5: Download and run Windows Installer CleanUp Utility
Step 6: Download and install .NET Framework
