Fix Volume Activation error codes on Windows 7 and Windows Vista

You may receive some errors messages when you use Multiple Activation Key (MAK) or the Key Management Service (KMS) to perform Volume Activation on one or more Windows 7 or Windows Vista-based computers, and in this article you can find the solutions to fix these error codes.
Fix error code 0xC004C001 on Windows 7 and Windows Vista
The error code 0xC004C001 appears when you try to use a MAK to activate one or more computers, and the error appear because the MAK key is not valid.
Error messages for code 0xC004C001:
“0xC004C001
The activation server determined the specified product key is invalid”
To fix this error, verify that the key that is used is the MAK that was provided by Microsoft.
Fix error code 0xC004C003 on Windows 7 and Windows Vista
Error messages for code 0xC004C003:
“0xC004C003
The activation server determined the specified product key is blocked”
This error message appear when the MAK is blocked on the activation server. This fix this error, you should contact the PA Call Center to obtain a new MAK, and then install and activate the system.
Fix error code 0xC004B100 on Windows 7 and Windows Vista

The activation server determined that the computer could not be activated.”
This error appear when the MAK is unsupported, and to fix this error, you should verify that the MAK that is used is the MAK that was provided by Microsoft.

The activation server determined that the specified product key could not be used.”
This error code appear when the KMS key has exceeded the activation limit. KMS keys will activate up to 10 times on six different computers.

The Software Licensing Service reported that the hardware ID binding is beyond level of tolerance.”
This error appear when the computer hardware has changed or if the drivers that are installed on the computer have been updated, and to fix this error if you use a MAK, you should reactivate the system during the “Out of Tolerance” grace period by using online activation or telephone activation.
If you use a KMS, type the following command into a command prompt: slmgr.vbs -ato
Fix error code 0xC004F014 on Windows 7 and Windows Vista

This error appear if a product key is not installed on the system, to fix this error you should install the MAK product key, or you can install the KMS key that is located in the following folder on the installation media:

Access denied the requested action requires elevated privileges”
This error appear if User Access Control (UAC) does not let the activation processes run in a non-elevated command prompt, and to fix the error follow these steps:
Step 1: Go to Start->All Programs -> Accessories -> then right click Command Prompt and then click on Run as;
Step 2: Click The following user, and then select Administrator in the User name list;
Step 3: Click OK;
Step 4: Type the following command and then press Enter: slmgr.vbs
