How to install and use a program in Windows XP Mode

Some programs that you want to install on Windows 7 was not compatible with the latter. In this situation you will only have to install programs in Windows XP mode.

Hopefully Windows 7 allows a certain program installed in Windows XP mode, this is very useful for many users, especially for users who want to aibe programs installed on their computers which unfortunately are not compatible with Windows 7.

Steps to install a program in Windows XP mode

Step 1: Go to Start, click All Programs, click Windows Virtual PC, and then click Windows XP Mode;

Step 2: In Windows XP Mode, insert the program’s installation disc into your computer’s CD/DVD drive; or browse to the program’s installation file, open the file, and follow the instructions to install the program;

Step 3: Click the Close button at the top of the Windows XP Mode window;

Step 4: In Windows 7, click the Start button, click Windows Virtual PC, click Windows XP Mode Applications, and then click the program you want to open;
